Tell-tale Heart

In “The Tell-Tale Heart,” how does the author build suspense?

  1. In the story the tell-tale heart the author builds suspense in many ways. One of the ways is by talking about the vulture eye and how it wronged him. Another way was by the beating of the old mans heart how it grew louder and louder and drove him mad. The tell tale heart is a good novel for a suspense because it keeps you guessing on what will happen next.

  2. the tell tale hearts author edgar allen poe builds suspense by sorta having like a rhytim to his story.the words in every sentence have like a poetically beat that goes with the story.the beat it has is a thump-thump like a heart, so as the story goes on you feel like your in it and it adds tremendous effect to the story.
